Want to play a game as an adorable bunny, I got you! Marron is a little Bun who lives in a cute little town (of course it's cute with a name like that) after a visit from a friend she is convinced she can turn around the decision of the town festival being cancelled but she can't do it alone. The town's mayor informs her that if she can get 6 stalls from 6 different people then the festival can go ahead, now for the hard part, how can she show the townspeople that it's worth opening their stalls.

In order to continue the story, Marron must help people in return. She is given several tasks to complete. Some are puzzles, while others require exploring and hunting down items such as stones and plants. Talking to residents is a great way to get the ball rolling. They can give you hints on where to look; however, some just want to be left alone. My favourite aspect about the games was the mini-games, they are what pull it together even though it's not a very long game to play. I enjoyed moving creates and learning how to get them to their destination. Playing games with problem-solving is great for brain development, incorporating it with a cosy vibe is a nice mix for those who like to do more than just explore.

Once you have helped everyone you need to and got enough stalls the festival will begin, you can then play a mini-game against the residents, I didn't enjoy it that much but I'm sure those who like to battle in games may like this addition. The gameplay style is very retro with their 2D graphics much like the old school Gameboys, the colour backdrop is a mixture of pastel colours depending on which part of the map you have entered, and not much that stands out relying on the Marron's exploration/interactions to carry the game and grab your interest, I personally felt it worked perfectly, I felt like I was thrown back in time playing a game in the 90s.

In the 90 minutes (more or less) playing as Marron, I had a delightful time, the pacing was perfect, the controls are very basic and movement is limited meaning you don't have free movement it's a bit more awkward, and you tend to get used to it quickly though. Due to it being so short, there isn't much else I can add to the review without ruining it for players, I would hate to spoil anything, however, I enjoyed my time playing through it. Marron's Day is already on Steam and PC, it's also received a physical release on Game Boy, and it's out today on Nintendo Switch.
