These *Sades headsets were sent to me in return for a review and giveaway. I'm always on the lookout for a comfy headset, I hate anything that is too tight on my head and squishes my ears. I get horrid headaches from even wearing headbands on my head and I always make sure to use a headset that doesn't do this otherwise it ruins my whole experience when I play games. When I was approached to do a collab with *EasySMX they asked what I would be interested in trying, unfortunately, the headset I first chose wasn't available but the one they recommend was a great choice for them. The headset I was sent were the Sades SA-928 Headset, I had never heard of them before but when they arrived Eric told me he had the same ones and that they're really good and I trust his word when it comes to these things. From the look of the box, the headset looked stylish and lightweight which I was relieved about, the box states that the headset works for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC but it also works for PS4 (not sure about Xbox One as I don't own one). The contents of the box included:
- 1 x Combo Adapter
- 1 x RCA Audio Convert Cable
- 1 x XBOX 360 Convert Cable
- 1 x User Manual
When I took them out of the box they came with a few wires, the wires you need to connect together for Xbox 360 alone is a lot, but seeing as I don't use a headset for all my consoles and it will be mostly for the PS4 that didn't worry me too much. The headset comes with a combo adaptor that has a volume control on and a mute button, this can be plugged directly into my the Xbox 360 or PC, it can technically work with the PS4 but is very restricting as the cable is so short, I don't want to sit close to my PS4 so I unplugged the combo adaptor and just used the cable attached to the headset but this means I can't mute or control the sound that way, the orange and yellow look works well together, I'm not a huge fan of the colour orange and usually get blue accessories to match my controllers but I liked the colour combo of the Sades headset.
I haven't tried these out for PS3 yet so I can't give an insight into it but on my Xbox 360 they work just as well as they do on my PS4, the whole purpose of them will be to used on my PS4 so the cables they come with will only be used when I use my other consoles and eventually get my gaming laptop. It's always nice to know I have cables which I can use to adapt the headset with rather than having to go out and pay for them. If you're looking for an affordable headset which has good sound quality and a mic that lets you be heard clearly, I would say these are perfect for the price, the design of them stands out and makes them look a lot more expensive than they are, Sades was launched in 2014 and currently have over 400 million users around the world, they are not only affordable but very sleek looking. Who wouldn't want to use a product for a cheaper price but with a more expensive look.
I'm able to be heard clearly on team chat with these which is an issue I started to get with my Astro A30's and the noise cancellation works surprisingly well with the Sades headset. The earcups fit comfortably around over my ears and are very cushioning, they're not tight to my head and don't push on my ears, they are a tiny bit big on the top of my head and as they can't be adjusted manually I can't really change that but they are self-adjusting, although my small head doesn't touch the elastic part. The headset is made out of a plastic that is able to be bent and move outwards without breaking, the mic attached to the left ear cup can be moved backwards or forward so it's not too close to your mouth so overall the headset has been built to be bendy enough for the user's needs.
