My Top 3 Games for 2017: Part 2.

Friday 7 April 2017

I was supposed to post this post last month but never ended up having enough time to sit down and write it as I've been concentrating on some other stuff so following on from Part 1, this is my top 3 up and coming game releases for April, May & June, I know not everyone is not going to like them but would like it if you told me what games from those three months you're most looking forward to being released, Let's start with Little nightmares, I think a few people would probably guess that would be my pick for April, why is this my pick? As soon as I saw the gameplay for this game I knew I had to have it, I love the style of it and the story, it is about a 9-year-old girl named six who has been kidnapped from her home, she ends up in a place called The Maw which is a surreal underwater resort full of lots of scares and darkness. Within the game you play as Six and find yourself undertaking the journey to escape The Maw, it's due to be released on the 28th of April on PC, PS4 and Xbox One so it's not exclusive to just one platform.

Prey will be released on the 5th of May and I have been getting so hyped up over this game, Prey will be a first-person shooter game which has been developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks which already makes it a winner in my eyes! It will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One so if you're itching to get your hands on it, you won't need to worry that it's not available on a platform you play. In this game, you control a character called Morgan Yu and explore the moon which orbits the space station Talos l. This space station is where people research a hostile alien collective called Typhon, they look as if they're made out of a black substance and come in all different spaces and sizes, the Typhon end up escaping where they're being held and you need to survive escape and kill them using their own weapons, I'm really looking forward to seeing people stream it on twitch which usually helps me decide if I should get it or not.

I've written about Crash Bandicoot previously but it was an article for Liability magazine so I figured I should add it to this list on my own blog seeing as it's one of my favourite games from when I was younger. Crash N-sane trilogy will be released this month and he has a new look, the graphics within the game have been made to look a lot less old school and have been cleaned up by having high definition 4K resolution, but it's very much the same as old school Crash. N-sane trilogy is basically a collection of remasters of the first 3 Crash games which were; Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped, all 3 of these games were featured around Crash trying to stop Dr. Neo Cortex which will be the same for N-sane Trilogy, but what is a new feature about these games is you will have unified checkpoints, pause menus and save settings, you will be able to manually save and have automatic saving too. Crash Bandicoot N-sane trilogy will be released on June 30th, 2017 and available on PS4 only, so instead of enjoying the sun, I can see a lot of people indoors playing this!

What are you looking forward to coming out in the next 3 months?

  1. I played Little Nightmares at EGX last year. It was a very fun demo, albeit short. It had a very "Henry Selick" aesthetic to it.
